Soma Syed

A girl born in Bangladesh came to the United States as an immigrant, with big hopes and dreams.

Soma began her improbable dream of becoming an attorney at age 12. She always aimed for the top and worked as hard as she could with her abilities, resources and limits.

She headed to Albany Law School of Union University and came back with her Juris Doctor (JD) to serve her community as an attorney. As an attorney activist, she has worked thousands of countless hours of pro-bono work to support people with housing, immigration, unemployment, and more right here in Queens.

Currently, she serves as the President of the Queens County Women's Bar Association, and she intends to bring that leadership to her home in Queens.
